What are stem cells?
Stem cells are the basic building blocks of life, the basic cell from which our bodies are made. They are formed at conception and
specialized to become all the different tissues of the body: muscle, nerve, organs, bone, blood and so on.
Their remarkable ability to become other types of cells makes them essential in the repair and renewal of tissues and body organs.
Unlike other cells, they can divide and replicate over and over again. They give rise to brain cells, heart cells, pancreas cells,
etc. and are a critical element in regenerative medicine.

When do we use our body's stem cells?
We tap into our body's stem cell reserve to repair and replace
injured or diseased tissue. Unfortunately, our reserve is finite and as it becomes depleted, the regenerative power of our body decreases
and we succumb to diseases, disorder and the ravages of aging.

What's the difference between adult and embryonic stem cells?
Large numbers of stem cells are needed for stem cell replacement therapy. Embryonic cells are grown in culture, while adult stem
cells are best taken from the fat tissue in your own body and activated by glycoproteins for maximum proliferation into a large
number of different cell types.
By using your own adult stem cells, there is no risk that your cells will be rejected by your immune system which may be the case if you
receive embryonic stem cells. It has also been found that embryonic stem cells used in laboratory animals have created tumors. The use
of embryonic stem cells is currently restricted in the USA and other countries.

What are the sources of stem cells from one's own body?
There are three sources from a patient that can be used clinically:
bone marrow, peripheral blood and fat.

Which is the best source to harvest from and why?
The best source to harvest stem cell from one's body is the fat,
because it is rich in mesenchyme stem cell and more than 100x more
stem cells can be harvested as compared to bone marrow.

What is Autologous Stem Cell Transplant?
Unlike embryonic stem cells derived from a fetus or stem cells
derived from animals, autologous stem cells are derived from your own blood or fat tissue (adipose).
Dormant stem cells are harvested from 100cc of a patient's fat and peripheral blood through liposuction. These stem cells are incubated
in stimulating growth factors, isolated and infused back into the patient intravenously. The whole procedure takes up to 4 hours in
the operating room of the hospital under local anesthesia. It takes about an hour to harvest, 3 hours to incubate and stimulate the stem
cells and infuse them back to the patient.

How are these stem cells activated?
Your autologous stem cells are activated with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Adilight® Laser.

Is there any health risk from this procedure?
There is absolutely no health risk whatsoever since the therapy uses your body's own stem cells. There is no risk that your cells will be
rejected by your immune system which may be the case if you receive stem cells from sources other than your own body.

Are there any moral or religious issues with regards to Autologous Stem Cell Transplant?
None. It uses the patient's own stem cells which will be harvested from the abdomen fat. Furthermore, there will be no issue with regards to matching of stem cells since it is from you and back to
you.

What indications can Autologous Stem Cell Transplant be most beneficial?
Autologous Stem Cell Transplant holds great promise against a wide variety of
degenerative illnesses such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, spinal cord injuries and even aging
itself. Aside from improvement from the disease, its beneficial side effect is rejuvenation in terms of looking younger, feeling stronger
and in some patients increased libido.

How long has stem cell research been going on?
The Institute for Regenerative Medicine, which started in Russia, has been in the research and development of the clinical uses of
stem cells for over 35 years. There are about 2,000 patients protocol and outcomes. There are also about 200 Ph.D's, scientists
and doctors who share experiences and proprietary knowledge.
